Hover Car Racer
During my first year of university I created a hover car racer. The hover car racer was part of an assignment, and was built in the TL-Engine using C++. It features very basic graphics and is intended to do so.
The project featured a hover car which the player could race against basic enemy ‘AI’, and complete laps to win the race. It also featured what might be the worlds worst spedometer!
This project features the following.
- Movement with vectors
- Sphere to box collision
- Sphere to sphere collision
- Custom UI components (yes, that’s a different image for every speed, I found a quick way to do it in GIMP and loaded it in through code)
- ‘Rebound’ off of barriers and spheres
